Specialist Support

The staff within the home are all trained to provide the care that you need for every day things.

They will help you with things like your personal care, doing laundry, making drinks, contacting your family and will assist you with social activities.

There are times when you might need some specialist assistance. Yourself, your social worker or maybe even your Doctor. might request this. Your key-worker may notice that you are having difficulty with something or you may have already spoken to them about it.

Specialist assistance could be from people like speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists or holistic therapists.

All these specialists are able to help with different things and if you want to know more, please ask a member of staff.

As a company we also employ Dr Lorraine Childs and Samantha Cooper Evans who are both Consultant Psychologists; and also Dr Hugo Biehl who is a Neuopsychiatrist. They help with reviewing medication, behaviour management techniques and many other things.

There are no extra charges for using any of these services and it may well help to improve things that you might be having difficulty with.

You will always be kept informed of anything, which is being discussed about you and will have the opportunity to choose whether to work with these specialists or not.
