Full-time Activity/Care Support Workers

As an Activity/Care Support Worker at a Richardson Partnership for Care home, you’ll support our service users with acquired brain injuries and learning disabilities to achieve their goals – however small – and share in their successes. You’ll work with people of all ages and assist with daily living – both in the home and during a range of activities in the community, so no two days will be the same. You’ll join a team of carers in a warm, friendly environment, who are dedicated to providing excellent care.

About you

You’re compassionate and positive with a can-do approach. You may already have some experience of working in care, but most-importantly, you’re kind, caring and enthusiastic. You’ll be willing to learn and want the flexibility that working shifts offers. Ideally, you’ll have an NVQ 2 / HSC or equivalent qualification in care, but if not, then we’ll provide free training so that you can achieve this or other qualifications to develop your career.

Senior Activity / Care Support Worker

As a Senior Activity/Care Support Worker at a Richardson Partnership for Care home, you’ll lead a team of support staff, delivering individual residential rehabilitation services for our service users with an acquired brain injury.  You’ll work in a positive, lively setting, with a team dedicated to providing care of the highest standard. You’ll be responsible for medication, petty cash and all aspects of activity during the shift.  

About you

You’ll have excellent people skills and be a good communicator. You’ll have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in care and hold a Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification, and you’ll be over 21 years of age. You’ll enjoy managing and supervising staff and ideally, you’ll have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities or an acquired brain injury or who display risk behaviour.

Cleaner / Support Worker (part-time)

As a Cleaner / Support Worker in our residential care home in Duston, you’ll be proud to maintain a clean, safe home and enjoy working in a warm, friendly and lively environment. You’ll be physically fit and adaptable, enjoying the varied activities and routines within the homes. You’ll be able to work within time scales and schedules set, with a systematic approach and able to work under your own initiative, as well as in a team.

Ideally, you’ll also have experience of working in care environment (such as a school, hospital, or care home) and have experience of working with people who display challenging behaviour. You’ll have experience of working alone and be creative in difficult situations.

You may have knowledge of C.O.S.H.H. and basic knowledge of Health & Safety.

Befriender:

  • To work on a 1:1 basis with a specific service user
  • To accompany service user in the home and also out on activities, to attend appointments, shopping and home visits etc.
  • 16 hours per week including weekends and evenings

    Plumber / Maintenance Person

    We are currently looking to employ an additional skilled Plumber Maintenance Person to enhance our maintenance team, who ensure that our residential care homes offer a safe environment and that necessary remedial work is carried out to maintain standards of health and safety.  

    Hours: 40 per week - flexibility is required with regards to the duties performed Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications & experience

    Essential requirements:

    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience
    • Qualified, skilled in a related trade (eg. Plumbing) 

    Duties: 

    • To work 40 hours per week, flexibility with regards to the duties performed to ensure the homely environment is maintained and all aspects of health and safety are maintained within our care homes
    • Be able to work under pressure and to specified deadlines 
    • Be presentable and able to undertake duties in line with Manager/ Supervisors recommendations, instructions, company policy and in accordance with requirements
    • Ensure accuracy and pay attention to details
    • To carry out any other duty or tasks as required by the Maintenance Manager, Service Manager, Partners or other authorised person
    • We would require you to have your own tools and your own vehicle
    • Full driving licence required.
